You've got a website, a product or service, and a dream. But nobody is paying attention. Getting customers starts with getting visitors. If you're not getting the results you want, you might be making one (or all) of these common mistakes:
a) Funnel Fiasco:
You either don't have a sales funnel or the one you have is more awkward than a teenager at their first dance.
If you had a skateboard shop, you would run an ad or give flyers to the high school students in the neighborhood. Then you would set up your shop so that people can come in, have a look, ask questions, and maybe even try a skateboard.
You could even have a few boards on sale. In other words, you would make it easy and natural for them to buy.
People on the internet sometimes turn into aliens. They send DMs to people they’ve never talked to saying: “BUY - MY - STUFF!”
Build a funnel that is human, natural, and logical. Create space for people to learn about you, get a glimpse of what you have to offer, and build some trust.
b) Traffic Troubles:
Another cardinal sin is not having a traffic generation strategy, which leaves your website lonelier than a tumbleweed in the desert.
Don’t over engineer this. Pick a traffic strategy and test it out. You could run ads for your lead magnet, build an audience on Twitter, or work with influencers.
Having a website on the electronic Autobahn that is the internet is not enough. Be intentional about traffic.
c) Platform Pandemonium:
If your strategy is to be everywhere, you'll end up doing a half-assed job on every platform.
Each traffic strategy and platform require some testing, learning, and improving. You cannot excel at all of them. To avoid this, set a goal for each strategy. For example:
Your goals will be widely different from the above based on your business and where you are today. That’s irrelevant.
The point is to focus and do one thing at a time. If you get stuck, try another traffic source.
If you don’t know where to start, we can help design and set up your funnel.
