Breaking Barriers: The Best Women in Business Podcasts for Entrepreneurs

Recent statistics show that women are launching and scaling successful companies at a higher rate than ever before. In 2021, they launched 49% of new businesses in the US and 42% in Germany, up from below 30% in 2019.1 An older study also showed that female founders performed 63% better than their male peers.2

But let's not sugarcoat it. We're celebrating International Women's Day, but we're not there yet.

Funding, business support, and mentorship still favor men. Emily Chang wrote an entire book just a few years entitled, Brotopia: Breaking Up the Boys' Club of Silicon Valley. It is not all rainbow and sunshine.

So how do you get there?

There's no shortage of ideas to support women better and embrace equity. We can:

  • Increase funding for women-owned businesses and shake the old boys' Club
  • Promote gender diversity in leadership positions
  • Provide mentorship and networking opportunities for women
  • Address workplace discrimination and bias
  • Encourage work-life balance for women

We must also inspire women. While a group of male cheerleaders might be a good start, there's nothing like women supporting other women.

Female entrepreneurs building a business or just starting a side hustle need support in navigating their unique path. And one of the fastest ways to ignite the required motivation for the journey ahead is from high-performing women business leaders that have walked the walk and can now talk the talk.

Here are five incredible podcasts run by phenomenal female entrepreneurs that help women on a weekly basis chase their entrepreneurial, product, and leadership goals with confidence.

Dear FoundHer

Hosted by Brand Igniter and award-winning entrepreneur Lindsay Pinchuk, Dear FoundHer is a weekly Podcast for female entrepreneurs to get inspired. Lindsay shares actionable tips for success through thought-provoking conversations with some of the most successful female founders and entrepreneurs who have paved the way.

In a chat with Stun and Awe, Lindsay revealed “When I became a female founder in 2010 I didn't have any friends who owned businesses---and I felt incredibly lonely. Eventually, over time, I built up a network of founders around me who I was able to bounce ideas off of and who when I was with, I felt seen.”

Lindsay’s success in her newly acquired network fueled her passion to zero in on female entrepreneurs to the point of birthing the Dear FoundHer Podcast. She disclosed “I sold my first company in 2019, and after leaving two years later, my goal was truly to help other female founders based on my own experiences---to support them, to lift them up, to share stories, to teach them.  And that was the catalyst for starting Dear FoundHer…”
